  • Updated Profile Error Display – Available in Surface so that the profile will have the area where the error is occurring highlighted in orange.  Additionally, all sections that have an error will have a warning symbol on the map to warn you of the error.
  • Added Feature for Auto-Update Connected Sections – Available in Surface to provide an updated profile for any sub-mains or laterals that connect to a changed main depth.  Any additional sub-sections that drain into these laterals will also be updated.

Version 2012.03 of the mobile software offers the following enhancements:

Farm Works Announces Online Solution

Jan. 17, 2012—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today My Connected Farm portal, a new Web-based solution for growers and agribusinesses to access and manage mapping applications, precision farming data and vehicle performance and movement. My Connected Farm is password-protected and users can customize information specific to their farming operations.

Access Maps and Precision Ag Data Online

My Connected Farm allows users to sign on and upload field and office data to access, manage, view, and print information and maps collected by precision agriculture hardware such as the Trimble® FmX® integrated display from any computer connected to the Internet.

The new portal will also be compatible with Office Sync service. Office Sync provides wireless transfer of data between the field and office making it possible to instantly view collected data from Web browsers for timely management decisions.

Highlights of My Connected Farm portal:

  • Display Bing™ Maps for background imagery overlaid with current or historical data
  • Build a list of client/farm/field/input names which can be synchronized with a Trimble CFX-750™ display or the FmX integrated display
  • View data such as yield, coverage, and other maps with legend
  • Print a map or task report summarizing activities
  • Manage guidance lines from the CFX-750 display or FmX integrated display

Vehicle Manager

My Connected Farm will also serve as the gateway for Vehicle Manager, Trimble’s telematics solution. Vehicle Manager provides up-to-date fleet management information, a virtual dashboard of cab monitors, fuel usage, engine reporting, and performance analysis. Managers can also create geo-fences to guard against theft or provide alerts when vehicle operators enter non-farming zones.

“We are excited to introduce an innovative Web-based agricultural mapping solution for growers and agribusinesses who want to manage precision ag data online,” said Erik Arvesen, vice president for Trimble's Agriculture Division. “Our solution opens the door for use on many platforms and will provide growers with the convenience of being able to access their data on the Web at any time.”
