Is there a way to change the orientation of the north arrow so that it isn't always pointing up when printing a map? Due to the layout of some fields, it would layout better if for instance I could face north to the right instead of up. Also, is there a way to print a topo map with only the contours and no color. Whenever I pull my completed drainage lines into Farm Works and I pull in my coverage file for the same field, for some reason my completed drainage lines are actually stopping short of my coverage lines. Is there any way to fix this. In most cases it is around 20' per line and that can add up to a lot in a big field. I talked to the company that I bought the FmX display and software from and theby Prairie - Office - Mapping
I tried again and am still having the same problem.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Every time I open FarmWorks it says that I need to download a new version of Farm Works (version 2013.03.538). I go through the installation process and it says everything installed ok but when I open up Farm Works it still shows version 2013.01.533. I have done it several times with the same results.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Actually, I was wrong and I have the Skip Confirming Farm/Field Info box checked and that is it.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
I have the Import Fields w/o Tasks box checked. Should I uncheck it to only pull in the highlighted fields?by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Whenever I import job data to a project I click on the Read Job Data icon and select the Trimble FMX Display and then the memory drive to bring up all of the jobs in the AgGPS folder on my USB card. If I select only one or two items to import it seems to still import all of the fields on the USB card. I keep getting pop ups for all of my fields saying "You are importing section lines from anby Prairie - Office - Mapping
Is there a way to merge two adjacent fields and make them one continuous field. I have two adjacent fields with their respective boundaries and topographic layers. I would like to make it one contiguous field with one topographic layer so that I can design some tile lines that right now cross the shared boundary of the two separate fields. I have edited the boundary of one of the fields to encompby Prairie - Office - Mapping
How do you get your defaults to come up in the drainage design tab. I have clicked the set defaults tab and gave them a value but all of the parameters still show 0. How do you apply the defaults to your drainage design. Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
The DirectX install prompt came up and it went through the process and then a box popped up that said the current version of DirectX was already installed on the computer (I am assuming from when I originally installed FarmWorks).by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Is there a way to change the size of the contour labels when printing out a topographic map. I am trying to print an 11x17 map and the contour labels are barely legible. In the display options tab I have increased the font size for the topographic layer but that doesn't change the contour label size. Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
I updated to the latest version of FarmWorks and I still get the same error message when I hit the View in 3D button. Any other ideas? Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping

I am having trouble viewing my field topography in 3D. Every time I hit the View in 3D button I get an error message MEM_RESIZE_FAILED. What can I do to fix this? Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
I am trying to figure out how to print out a supply list from a designed tile system. I have completely designed a tile system in the Drainage Planned layer and have designated a pipe from the supply list in the drainage design area for every line. How can I print out a list that shows the length of each pipe size needed for that particular design? Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
What exactly do you mean by project? I can't just copy the field under the specific client. How do you copy a project? When I right click the copy option doesn't appear. Thanks.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Is there a way to have more than one Drainage Planned layer in a field? I want to design a tile system with two different spacings for a client and when I make a copy of the Drainage Planned layer I lose all of the design functionality. The tile line tool still shows up but the pop-down menu is gone that lets me select between main, sub-main and lateral.by Prairie - Office - Mapping

I uploaded the AgGPS folder to your website last week. Any suggestions as to why the 3D view will not work?by Prairie - Office - Mapping
Tried your suggestion and it worked. Thanks. We have Surface 2012 but we still have the Field Level II firmware for the FmX. The company we bought the Trimble system from said the WM Drain still had several bugs to be worked out so they gave us the older firmware version for the FmX. Not sure if this is true or not but that is what we were told.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
I manually put the lengths on with the text button but sure would be nice to just add the label instead of having to do it manually, especially in large fields with lots of lines. Let me know if there is a fix.by Prairie - Office - Mapping
I surveyed the boundary with the FmX and whenever I pulled it into Surface it shows up in the Boundary layer. Whenever I click inside the boundary it shows me an acre count in the bottom right hand corner so I assume the boundary is correct. If I survey the boundary with the FmX shouldn't it import into Surface or do I have do something else to get the boundary in Surface?by Prairie - Office - Mapping

Whenever I import installed tile lines from my FmX to Surface it creates a layer called Feature Lines. In the views area at the bottom of the screen it lists a number of different attributes to change how the map appears (Date, ID, Length, Name, Time, Version). I can't get the length attribute to work. Whenever I click on the length attribute all of the lines disappear. Also, whenever I try to adby Prairie - Office - Mapping
I use Surface 2012 for my tiling business. I survey the field with my FmX display and then pull the survey information into Surface to create a tile design. When I import the tile design from Surface into my FmX display the line numbers change from what I called them in Surface and they are not in chronological order. For instance, I label a lateral line in Surface L1 and when I pull it into my Fby Prairie - Office - Mapping
