Error trying to offset certain guidance lines

Hi Guys

I have a customer who has a couple of paddocks which have problems with Trimble guidance lines and creating offsets. There is something odd with the Guidance line layer on at least 2 of his paddocks. I have e-mailed through his backup so that you see if you can work out what is going on. The problem paddocks are Merca 2 and Roscoe's Forrest. NB there aren't any jobs in the backup - I had him copy his project delete the jobs to reduce the file size.

In Merca 2, there is only one guidance line and if you try to create an offset, you get an error message: "Offset is out of Range". Also, it won't let you create guidance lines in certain parts of the paddock.

In Roscoe's Forrest, there are several guidance lines, but only the 2 along the northern fenceline give the error, the others seem to offset just fine.

I have tried all manner of deleting lines and layers, combined with copying and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

It's just I hadn't heard back on my last question by e-mail, so thought I would try here instead.

Deb worked out what was going on - the guidance line is more than 2000m from the POS location. The POS seems to be set at a point on the paddock boundary. If you alter it to be in the middle of the paddock then you can create an offset for all of the guidance lines in the paddock. I was just waiting for an answer from Deb as to what altering the location of the POS will do to his FMD and auto-steer. I would hate for it to crash his screen in the tractor!

Thanks for checking for me.

Jo
