Basic Distance Measurement

I use your sitemate program primarily for mapping paths
following tile line installations for the purpose of
relocating lines later for repair or additional tile systems.
I use windows ce , a phillips nino, and a trimble gps reciver.
My question for you is how do I get the sitemate program
to give me info about distance in feet on the go while I
am marking a path? I understand how to get distance info
using the pointer tool after I have marked a path but sometimes
I need to use the gps as you would a wheel or chain to
mark out specific distance points during the design stage
of the drainange project.

Before you start logging the path, go to the start of the path and then select the "Navigation Tool" from the toolbar button.
2. Tap or click on the screen at the current position.
3. You can then start your log and drive along the path.
4. The distance from your starting point to your current position will be displayed in the navigation compass on the screen.

Let me know if this makes sense.

R.
