I have not had the Topcon in my console list prior to now.
Farmworks runs the install and then restarts, however the Topcon X20 is not in the console list. I have tried three times, and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Is the available serial port adapter easy to use, stable and reliable when using a serial device?
He is wanting to use it as he needs a Windows based platform for recording geophone locations and programming and downloading data from seismometers. Some of the seismometers use RS-232 serial and their software is not keen on working via USB to Serial adapters to date.
On the YUMA 2, is there any way to connect via a wired RJ-45 Ethernet connection as some of his seismometers need this?
Also, on the original YUMA, does the built in serial port have standard interface chips working directly on the I/O bus or is it working via the USB hardware?
Finally, is there available or going to be available a vehicle docking station for the YUMA 2?

For that I just browse to Folder RCD, open it and click on setup.fds. And it populates the page with applications and field to import.
If I use apex and export data as .shp or .csv files, and then import to FW using generic text or shape, i get some of the info I want. What I am not getting is "flags" .
I want flags. Flags , be it rocks to pick or problem areas to come back to, are what i would like to export to connect on my iphone. I using FW - 2013.06.551 updates are - Greenstar 1 Data Driver 3.10.0.35 Greenstar 2 and 3 Data Driver 4.3.1.5 and FODM runtime 3.11.0.9 I tried reinstalling greenstar 2 and 3 data driver and FODM runtime. no go
I also don't get flags or products on GS2 but that I can live with. One problem at a time
I have exported Shp. VRA to the GS3. Great instructions by the way. Thanks.

Can you use an FmX with CentrePoint RTx via satellite to collect survey data for Surface?

Also, are there any limitations to the size of an individual survey that can be taken into Surface.

I have a customer who is looking at putting in a 50km water pipeline and he wants to survey a strip approximately 5-10m wide (I think he is planning on surveying 3 transects - one either side and one where the pipe will be installed). Will Surface handle this?

The issue I have is laying tile runs close to a boundary. I get an error message down on the profile window telling me there is no surface data in that area. The error comes up if you lay a tile withing 20' of, or outside, a boundary.


That I can deal with. However, the message pretty much covers the entire working area of the profile window. I can't do much about that. It could be because I just use my laptop screen instead of a larger monitor, but regardless. I don't think there is a way to get rid of the message without relocating the tile.

I have tried writing the same input variety to the same cards, but for an FMX display and the write was successful.

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Case drivers, but the problem persists.I have also tried using backups and different projects in case those were the issue, but they weren't.

I am just looking for any possible steps to try. The writing operation was working for me earlier in the day and then became an issue after Farm Works froze while writing a card and I had to end task. Hopefully this can give you enough information to give me a possible solution.

I am using RTK so hopfully it is accurate and also hoping I can transfer that data to the Pro 700. I especially want to transfer the exclusion areas so I dont have to go map them again.

I can see where the A-B lines have been moved into Farmworks but do not see any exclusion areas.

Just wondering what the quickest and cleanest way of getting the information transferred.
