Using the "Get From Web" Feature in Version 11

With a couple of clicks of your mouse, you can quickly use the “Get from the Web” feature of the software to download, save and display Microsoft Terraserver imagery on your map. In past versions you first had to register a coordinate, go to Calibrate, download the image, save the image, and then reload it. Now this task is conveniently completed with just two clicks of a mouse.

The steps for completing this task are:

  1. Switch to the backdrop tools menu.

  2. Select the "Get from Web " button.

  3. Left Click on the map where you would like to have a backdrop photo.
  1. Enter in a name for the image.

  2. Select either "Northwest Corner" or "Center".

  3. Click on "OK" and Farm Works will download the image from the Internet, save the image, and display it behind your current active layer.
