Sync is a component of the Connected Farm™ solution. Sync provides wireless data transfer between the field and office, creating a link between your handheld device, vehicle display, and desktop computer.

Sync eliminates the use of memory cards and storage devices for linking the field to your office. Collecting data from the field is extremely important and Sync secures that information when you need it most.

Hardware solutions that are compatible with Sync include the Trimble® displays, Trimble handheld computers and/or other hardware devices utilizing the Farm Works field software. Data transfer can include information such as planned and completed jobs, A-B guidance lines, soil sampling and scouting maps, application maps, yield maps, and variable rate prescription maps.

Office Requirements:

Trac software
Site software

Desktop computer with Microsoft® Windows 2000 or higher (includes XP, Vista, and 7) and an Internet connection
128 MB Memory
50 MB Hard Drive Space

Field Requirements: (any one of the three options)

Trimble Juno™ SC and/or Nomad™ 900XE handheld with Farm Works Mobile software
Trimble FmX® integrated display or CFX-750™ display with DCM-300 modem (CDMA or GSM/GPRS compatible)
Any Windows device with Farm Works Mobile software, including PDA phone using Windows Mobile

Additional Requirements:

Annual connection service for Sync
Wireless data plan (CDMA or GSM/GPRS options)

Send important data between the field and office. Examples of data include planned and completed jobs, guidance lines, yield maps, and prescription maps.
Transfer an unlimited amount of data.
Keep a backup of your raw data within your storage area, even after it has been downloaded to your desktop software.
Password protected account provides safe delivery of data. All data secured for the exclusive use of the account holder.
Communicates with the Connected Farm on a regular basis—typically every minute. Each time that it communicates, it will upload new information to your storage area on the Connected Farm. New resources include clients, farms, fields, inputs (supplies and equipment), area, point, and line features.
Send completed jobs from the field to the Connected Farm. If a mobile device loses its communication, its completed jobs will be sent once it re-establishes communication.
View summaries of jobs that are waiting to be received and sent using the Connected Farm tab.

Office Software Download:

Trial Version:
Click here to download a free trial version of Trac or Trac/Site office software. When prompted during the install wizard, please select the "Trial Version" option. The Trac or Trac/Site software can be installed to your desktop computer and used for 15 days. Please note that the 15 days of use are based on actual days using the software and not the number of days installed. If you do not run the software for several days these days will not count toward the 15 day trial use. For this trial an internet connection is necessary to open the program.

You may stop the trial use at any time by purchasing “Software Product Codes” for each program. Each time you run the software you will have an option to enter the software codes to gain unlimited access to the software. No data is lost after the expiration of the trial version. If you purchase the software and enter the software codes after the expiration, all of your data will be available for use. Software codes may be purchased by using one of the options below.
