The Site Mate Basic software is the first of three levels of Site Mate. Use this software to map points, paths, and boundaries (also known as polygons) in the field.

Site Mate Basic provides a great starting point for growers or service providers before moving into other levels of Site Mate. Key features include driving a field boundary to calculate area or mapping a drainage line to display distance. Map soil sample point locations, sampling zones, rocks, broken drainage tile, no spray zones, and other points of interest. Large buttons for fingers are available for easy navigation and the interface accommodates small screen displays.

Site Mate Basic can display background Shapefile maps and geo-referenced JPG/BMP images. This feature is ideal for viewing soil types, target sampling points, drainage lines, or aerial photos while performing other tasks in the field.

If using Farm Works office (Trac and Site), no file management is necessary. Data automatically synchronizes with the office software to eliminate the need of copying files and other file management tasks from the mobile computer - saving you steps and time.

Site Mate Basic is the perfect solution for basic mapping.

Requirements:

GPS Receiver outputting NMEA data
Mobile computer (such as the Trimble® Juno™) installed with Microsoft® Windows® Mobile, Windows CE, or laptop running Windows 2000 or higher (including XP, Vista, and 7)
32MB RAM

Works in US-English or Metric measurements.
Ability to log points, lines, and polygons with GPS in the field.
Ability to draw points, lines, and polygons without GPS.
Allows you to drive around the field and generate an accurate map of field boundaries.
Logs the locations of soil samples and other important points in the field.
Allows you to offset logged paths and boundaries.
Displays distances of mapped paths, useful for determining lengths of field tiling.
Displays sizes of mapped areas such as field boundaries and weed areas.
Displays text label for points, lines, and polygons.
Allows you to view background maps such as field boundaries or aerial photos.
All data can be saved and exported as ASCII, ArcView Shape File, or MapInfo Interchange File formats.
GPS simulation mode for practicing in the office before recording actual jobs. Also can be used for demonstration purposes.
Data automatically synchronizes with Farm Works office (Trac and Site), so there is no need to worry about copying files or other file management tasks.
Available in 17 languages.
