Farm Site Mate

Farm Site Mate utilizes a mobile device and a GPS receiver for field mapping. This Windows™ based program installs on popular mobile devices such as Pocket PCs, Windows™ CE handhelds, or laptops running Windows™ 98 or higher. Site Mate allows you to create maps of field boundaries, weed areas, drainage lines, coverage areas, irrigation pivots, or soil sample locations. Site Mate separates from the competition by allowing the customer to purchase different levels based on customer needs. Easily upgrade to the highest level to communicate with sensors or controllers to perform variable rate application. All mapping can be displayed in 2D or 3D.

Site Mate Requirements:
- Pocket PC (such as the Compaq or HP iPAQ), Windows™ CE, or any laptop running Windows™ 98 or higher.
- 32MB memory for mobile device.
- Any GPS receiver outputting NMEA0183.

Farm Site Mate - Basic
Site Mate Basic Features:
- Works in US-English or Metric measurements.
- Ability to log points, lines, and polygons with GPS in the field.
- Ability to draw points, lines, and polygons without GPS.
- Allows you to drive around the field and generate an accurate map of field boundaries.
- Logs the locations of soil samples and other important points in the field.
- Allows you to offset logged paths and boundaries.
- Displays distances of mapped paths, useful for determining lengths of field tiling.
- Displays sizes of mapped areas such as field boundaries and weed areas.
- Displays text label for points, lines, and polygons.
- Allows you to view background maps such as field boundaries or aerial photos.
- Includes a Data Tab that can be used for displaying information being output by your GPS receiver.
- All data can be saved and exported as ASCII, ArcView Shape File, or MapInfo Interchange File formats.
- GPS simulation mode for practicing in the office before recording actual jobs. Also can be used for demonstration purposes.

Farm Site Mate - Scouting
Site Mate Scouting Features:
- Includes all the features of Farm Site Mate - Basic.
- Allows you to create soil sampling grids to any size, pattern, and orientation.
- Grids can be rotated and moved to create background point, lines, and polygon layers.
- Grids can be square or irregular rectangles.
- Grids can be customized in feet or acres (US-English).
- Grids can be customized in meters or hectares (Metric).
- Lets you enter an unlimited number of attributes such as scouting notes for mapped areas, lines, and points.
- Includes navigation tool for navigating to gridded points or any known point in a field.
- Display map in a 2D "Birds Eye" view or 3D "Moving Highway" view.

Farm Site Mate - Single VRA
Site Mate VRA Features:
- Includes all the features of Farm Site Mate - Basic and Scouting.
- Works with commonly used variable rate controllers and sensors.
- Displays total expected amount of product to be applied.
- Uses an ArcView Shape File prescription map to control product application.
- Allows you to enter a swath width in order to see an on-the-go coverage map.
- Records data from controllers or other sensory devices to create maps of logged data.
- Gives you the ability to create a legend based on application rate as well as labels for each polygon.
- Allows editing rates for individual polygons.
- Allows the use of a conversion to convert between different units of measure or to adjust all rates on a prescription map by a set percentage.
- Display individual boom sections with supported controllers.
- Display map in a 2D "Birds Eye" view or 3D "Moving Highway" view.

Farm Site Mate - Multi VRA
Multi Product VRA provides a variable rate solution for applications dealing with more than one product. This software currently only works with Raven and Rawson controllers which can control up to 5 different channels/products. Support for additional controllers will be coming later in 2009.
