Sync utilizes common wireless networks or cellular technology to transfer data from the mobile device (such as Trac Mate or Site Mate) to the desktop computer.

This refreshing new technology is designed to eliminate lost data in the field and improve computerized records. Sync links the field to the office by transferring data through a wireless connection such as a wireless network or cellular data service. The days of downloading or uploading the data from a mobile device using a sync cable are over. Since most agribusinesses and growers own - or could easily add - a wireless hub to their office computer, this technology is easy to setup and can benefit any operation.

Requirements:

Trac
Desktop computer hooked to wireless network

Note that Boosters can be used to extend the range of your wireless network

Mobile, laptop or tablet computer with WiFi

Desktop computer hooked to wireless network

and

Pocket PC Phone

Simply enter a "job" using a mobile device with wireless capabilities such as a PDA with WiFi or cellular service.
Farm Works' mobile solutions make it easy to enter records with quick drop-down lists of names for fields, equipment, personnel and supplies.
Other jobs for mapping field boundaries, soil sample locations, tile lines or variable rate can also be accomplished using GPS.
Once the jobs are completed, the Sync program does the rest for you.
If a device with a cellular connection is used (such as a PDA phone), data is transmitted as soon as the device has a cellular connection.
If a WiFi device is used, data will automatically be transmitted whenever the device gets within range of your wireless network.
All field records, maps and other data are automatically transferred to your desktop computer.
The system can support the transfer of data from any number of mobile devices (with the Farm Works Mate programs) to a single desktop PC with the Farm Works Office Software.
At any time, you can use the "Sync" button in the Farm Works Office Software to load all of the collected data. At this time you will have an option to review the data.
