Farm Works Software is a proud supporter of agricultural education and the development of our young farmers and consultants.  The second installment of the Teacher Guide and Student Workbook will train both high school and college instructors about Ag Business and Precision Ag concepts using Farm Works Software.  Each lesson is designed to give both the student and teacher step-by-step instructions, facilitating the learning process.  Minimal training is necessary if using the 2010 Education CD.  At the end of each lesson, print a report to summarize data entry.  The instructor can look at this report to grade the students’ performance.  The reports are located both at the end of each lesson and on the 2010 Education CD PDF files.  In addition, the instructor has access to a completed project with accurate records and maps, which can also be used to verify printouts.

The lessons are ordered 1-10 with each one building on previous lessons.  The student workbook is located on the Education CD and can be printed for each student.  The first lesson is very important.  This short lesson restores a backup project from the 2010 Education CD into Farm Works Software to provide preset fields, equipment, supplies, vendors, and accounts.  It will also bypass accounting initial setup to save time and effort.  Once the first lesson is completed and the backup is restored into the student project, the instructor determines the direction of the lessons depending on student and instructor needs.
