Version 7.1 Update Features
The following is a list of major changes
that are included in Version 7.1. For a list of changes made in prior versions,
go to the Farm Works website and go to the “News” section.
Farm Trac:
- An all-new map-printing feature
has been added. When you select <Add/Edit> for the Layout in the Print
Map box, you can arrange the map as you would like it to print. This means
that you can click and drag to move items such as legends, scales, notes and
other items anywhere you want on the paper.
- Fixed problems where printing
some maps using “Best Fit” did not fill the entire sheet of paper.
- The crop summary report has a
customizable header and can be printed with lines.
- The load box now utilizes a tree
view so you can select supplies by category (seed, herbicide, fertilizer,
etc…)
- The Chemical Report has been
replaced with a new “Chemical/Fertilizer Report” that has a number of different
formats that can be used for chemical and fertilizer usage.
Farm Site & Site Pro:
- An all-new map-printing feature
has been added. When you select <Add/Edit> for the Layout in the Print
Map box, you can arrange the map as you would like it to print. This means
that you can click and drag to move items such as legends, scales, notes and
other items anywhere you want on the paper.
- The Quick Yields import can now
accommodate field names up to 40 characters.
- You can now display the numeric
ranges along with a text description on legends.
- The program includes histograms
and range counts for point data that is based on the current legend being
used.
- Quick Yields now includes the
ability to specifically handle “Site Verification” and “Application Rate”
data.
- Quick Yields can import yield
data as lines so you can see the path traveled.
- Quick Yields will automatically
create layers for you. Layers are created for each field in the yield file
and will be based on the field name, crop and year. The layer name can be
changed, or a different layer can be selected, when importing.
- Quick Yields now has an “Advanced”
button that can be used for filtering points based on yield, moisture and
GPS position when importing.
- Fixed problem where if you copied
a layer to a new category and then renamed it, you would lose text and labels.
- Field names are now included
in ArcView Shape Files that are exported.
Farm Trac Mate:
- Trac Mate now works with the
different supply categories such as nematicide, rodenticide and fertilizer.
Farm Site Mate:
- Farm Site Mate can now work
with “Suspended Logs.” This means that you can suspend a boundary and log
a point and then finish the boundary.
- Farm Site Mate works with implement
switches from Premier Technologies (219-337-5319 or http://www.premiertechinc.com)
so that application maps can exclude points in the end rows.
- Site Mate includes “Advanced”
features that include the ability to enter attributes before a path or points
are logged.
- Site Mate includes “Advanced”
features that include the ability to have all attributes default to the previously
recorded attribute.
- You can now log points automatically
with an attribute assigned until you change it.
- Fixed problems where garbage
GPS strings would occasionally cause errors.
Farm Fund$:
- Enterprise statements can be
printed for a date range.
- Entries can be voided from the
Trial Balance.
- Trade-ins now conform to IRS
rules. Old traded assets remain on the books so they can be depreciated.
But are now tied to the original asset.
- The Journal Entry Report has
a “Summarize Detail Lines” option so that it won’t list all allocations to
fields, equipment, etc.
- The General Ledger Detail Report
has a “Summarize Detail Lines” option so that it won’t list all allocations
to fields, equipment, etc.
- Enterprise Statements are in
spreadsheets that can be exported as ASCII files. This allows the data to
be used in Excel and other spreadsheets.
- The Account Register always comes
up to the bottom of the register.
- Adjust Harvested Crops, Transfer
Crop to a Supply, Feeding and Fueling now have a date field added.
Farm Stock:
- Fixed the Show Actual & Show
Expected in Calendar.
