Farm Works version 5.1 has been released. As with every new version, we have continued
to respond to your comments and requests as we add new features and improve existing ones.
Take a look at what Version 5.1 offers: All Programs
For version 5.1, we have replaced the tutorial videotapes with a new interactive CD-ROM
based tutorial. This new media allows us to provide you more in-depth coverage of every
aspect of each program, and it allows you to view the tutorial where you'll use the
software - on your computer.
 New Print dialog box
Farm Trac V5.1 offers many more options in printing maps. Now you can save maps to a file
that you can use in your favorite word processor, print a single field, print the entire
map, or just print a small part of it. Do you need every square inch of paper for the map?
Turn off the scale, compass, and logo at the bottom and use the space for more map!
Scale Tickets
You've always been able to use your scale tickets to enter accurate harvest information.
In Version 5.1, you can now save them and print a report listing each scale ticket for
every field.
Long Project Names
We liked the long file names in Windows95 so much, we've changed Farm Trac to let you use
long names for your project files, even in Windows 3.1. Now you can use up to 40
characters, including spaces and punctuation marks, to describe your projects like never
before.

Account Register
The Check Register has been replaced with the new Account Register. Use the Account
Register to view, edit, and even add new transactions for each of your checking, savings,
and credit card accounts. Void transactions, print checks, and keep track of cleared
checks and deposits all in the same place.
Improved Purchases, Sales, and Deposits
We have completely overhauled the Payments & Purchases, Income & Sales, and
Deposits areas, giving each a new, more intuitive look and feel. Tired of entering the
same transactions month after month? Now you can create template transactions that
ease the repetitive drudgery of paying monthly bills.
New Farm Site Mobile
Version 5.1 of Farm Site Mobile sports a new look and a lot of new features. Now you can
record field boundaries, paths, and sample points all in the same log file and even add on
to existing log files. See at a glance whether differential GPS is available, whether
you're logging data, and how many points have been logged.
Better Import and Export of Data
Farm Site Version 5.1 offers some new import and export options, and some improvements on
the old options. Now you can import and export ArcView Shape Files from state agencies,
from data providers, or from custom applicators and other precision ag contractors.
Generic Import and Export have been improved, too, with powerful new options for importing
line data and the ability to export gridded views in addition to the base view of data.
Quicker Quick Yields
Importing yield data has never been this easy! Now, no matter what kind of yield monitor
you have or what format the data is in, you're just importing Yield Data. Farm Site
automatically figures out what kind of data is being imported. Also new in version
5.1 are support for the new JDMap export format, the new Ashtech AgNavigator file format,
and the HarvestMaster and RDS Ceres II yield monitors. Version 5.1 also adds support for
data recorded by the Micro-Trak GeoMarker and the Ag Leader Field Marker, and for an
extended set of data including elevation and load or variety.
New Look
Farm Site Version 5.0 incorporates many of the new features first introduced in the
popular Farm Site Professional. Enjoy the improved
Layer Management dialog box and the flexible, colorful new legends that Site Pro owners
have raved about.
Load Report
Use the load or variety information from your yield monitor to get a breakdown of average
and total yield, moisture, and acreage for each load or variety on each field and every
layer.
Farm Stock
Powerful New Grouping
In response to overwhelming demand, Farm Stock Version 5.1 allows you to keep information
on entire groups of animals at the same time, without ever having to know individual
statistics or even assign individual animal IDs.
Better Integration
Farm Stock is now more closely integrated with Farm Trac and Farm Fund$ to further
simplify the task of running your total operation. Farm Stock now also offers support for
blending of inventory items to create feed formulations.
