Is there an "Advanced" mode in the 500, and are you configured for it? Or are you in Basic mode on the 500?by Mitch Konen - Field - GPS Mapping, Scouting, Soil Sampling & VRA

Well Earl, If you are not finding the old crop listed in the Move Harvested Crop drop box, along with any positive or negative inventory in some location, then all I can tell you is to send a backup to Kathy and let her fix it for you. I tried,by Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
The fix was actually simple. Looking at the Move Harvested Crop window and seeing the old crop still listed, I noticed positive inventories in some locations and negative quantities in other locations. The positive and the negative amounts were the same total. So I moved the positive inventory to the negative inventory thus resulting in 0 total inventory for the crop. The old crop disappeared froby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
And which update would that be? I am on 2013.05.545 and Earl is on 2013.06.551. I believe I manually fixed this. Thanksby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Earl, I think I figured out what I did to fix this. Tell me this; Does this crop show up in the Move Harvested Crop box? (Accounting>Inventory Maintenance>Move Harvested Crops) Now tell me this; Jot down the locations of the "0" old crop inventories from the Inventory list. Run a Bin Activity report for these locations, dated 1/1/1997 to today. I believe you stated thiby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Earl, I am still researching and tracking what I did to clear mine. It can be done, just can't quite remember how. Thought maybe Kathy, or Deb could track down the support ticket on it. But I think I cleared it myself. So far all I can see in my project records was that I made some bin transfers and adjustments on 1/1/12, the earliest date available in the current open project. All I can rby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Earl, If you pull up a bin report for the bins in question, what do you see? Are these crops in the bin report, with 0 inventory?by Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Kathy, Mine has been corrected, but it wasn't the update that corrected it. I am trying to remember what we did, but there was a process and thought you might have a record of what we did. I know I purged the emails with the remedy. If I remember correctly I just adjusted the crops to "0" even though they were at "0". Some kind of a refresh thing I guess. Please let us know if this works for you. I would like to know if the curved lines actually transfer from the desktop to the monitor, I don't think they will, only straight lines will. Are you using RTK? I would think there may be a lot of variables at play here unless you are using something as accurate as RTK and have verified the swath accuracy in the field. May need to move the line when iby Mitch Konen - Office - Mapping
I am not for certain on this, but if you are using Headlands, 2 circuits, as your primary guidance pattern, I am thinking that your only options for internal AB's is straightAB or A+. Sounds like you are wanting to use the Identical curve guidance, and use the one side for setting your pattern. Probably could be done, but would have to be done in the field, and the Identical curve pattern couldby Mitch Konen - Office - Mapping
Jo, What are you using to record your coverage map? As Jon suggests, the difference between your job acres and boundary acres is usually a good reference for overlap. If using Trimble equipment to record your jobs, usually you can print the job reports directly from the data, which are Word docs, and this will have the overlap calculated.by Mitch Konen - Office - Mapping
Joe, When you are looking at a field enterprise statement, make sure that the Print Marketing Gain/Loss on field enterprise statement box is checked in the print options portion (bottom box) of enterprise selection window. This will show you the average price received for the crop and the bushels sold. Please understand that these are averages for the entire crop and accumulate as percentagesby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Looking at a Field Enterprise Statement - Summary, looking across the headers is somewhat confusing. Ex. Supplies, Quantity, Unit Cost, /ac (should read /unit), /ac, Total. I am just wondering if this could be corrected at sometime in the future. Thanks. Just another thorn. Thanks for all that you do.by Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Make sure you are in Advanced mode as well on the 750 in order to add the event attributes.by Mitch Konen - Field - Hardware
I like your plan Kermit. I think he should set up his own project with you as landlord and enter the correct landlord % splits. Then he will have the experience of the bookkeeping to go along with the farming. Plus have a set of books to go along with his operation as he works into it. The enterprise statements will be what they are if keeping good records. They will probably look scarey and reaby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Try this. Go to Accounting/ General Ledger/ Cash Reports/ General Ledger Detail Reports, set your date range, check the box for "select specific detail to print", scroll down in the list on right and check mark Drawing under Owners Draw, then you can select your medical expense from 'details' to 'details to print', hit ok and print. This should list all transactions for this expense.by Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting

What version of the software are you running? Help> About Farm Works Are you up to date, have the latest FODM Runtime data driver installed, as well as the most recent GS3 data driver? Once you select Read Job, then browse to the location of your yield data and it should read it from there. With GS3 I don't believe you want to drill down to a subfolder. You want it to read it from the rootby Mitch Konen - Office - Mapping
Hey Mike, It is trying to spring here, but we had another clipper blow thru Sunday night and left a couple inches of snow again. 0 degrees again this morn. The snow geese have showed up on their way north so it is just a short matter of time now. I do think everybody is getting a pretty good itch going for the season to begin. Jim, Once you get zoomed into your area and get something defined, be it a field boundary, a structure, or a simple point on a layer, and associated with a client, the map will automatically be dialed into your area from then on. As long as you have an active internet service you can always view the Bing map. Hopefully helpful,by Mitch Konen - Office - Mapping
Hey Mike, Try right clicking on a transaction in the reconcile window, do you not get the options to view or edit transaction? As far as adding transactions, you are kind of limited with the Adjustment option probabaly due to not being able to insure the correct details are commensurate with the transaction. Sam, A Balance Forward in a purchases report sounds like an Account Payable that hasn't been paid. You may have actually paid off the account when you wrote the check, thinking it would clear the payable, but it wasn't done using the payable payment or "Bill" icon in the payment transaction. Are you seeing anything in the Accounts Payable Report as being due? Accounting> Paymeby Mitch Konen - Office - Accounting
Here is a link to a free pdf writer. Download it and install. This installs a pdf printer on your computer. Then when you go to print something you would need to go to your printer setup and select the pdf printer.
