We are not using a yield monitor, we grow flowers and have potato digging equipment for harvesting the plants. Our problem is that we only harvest the roots, so when we go in to harvest all the tops are going and we have to follow a field chart to figure out where we are in the field. This gets really difficult because we don't dig everything out at the same time and only dig 2 out of the 6

Office - Mapping Kathy,
Is anything like that in the works. We grow about 500 different varieties of plants and keeping them all straight is a big task and finding them back in the fall is even more work. If there was a way to display on the screen what variety they were in would be a big help in our business.

Office - Mapping Kathy,
Is there any way to make it show up on the right hand side of the screen as a display, so that as you are going through the field and switch varieties it shows up where you have the speed, coverage area, etc displayed. This would be helpful at harvest when everything looks the same and we want to know what variety we are in.

Office - Mapping Once I make a variety map, can I export it to Farm Works Mobile and have it show up on the screen as a background map so I can see what variety I am in as I am going through the field?

Office - Mapping I am using the netbook to record information, I use AutoFarm for my GPS and push the signal into the netbook so that it can record where I have been. Most of what I do is record info, but I also have made perscription maps and ran the Raven from the Mobile program. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Field - Hardware I have been using a netbook in the cab of my tractor and sprayer for a couple of years now and have not had any problems. I use it to record mainly spray data from a raven controller and it works so much faster than what an IPaq did. The computers have held up well and are only 300 to 400 dollars, I think.

Field - Hardware I am using FarmWorks Mobile to keep track of the number of feet of row that we plant of our flowers. The guys in the planter hit go at the start of the variety and then stop it at the end of the variety or the end of the row and can write down the footage of the rows they just planted. I put the data in Farmworks Office but I can't seem to find a way to see how many feet are in each region. Am

Field - Hardware I am doing a year end supply to make sure everything got accounted for, and I have one chemical that I am way off. I used about 12 gallons this year and had 4 gallons at the beginning of the year and now it says I have 1374 gallons of product left. I went through my purchases but have not found anything wrong there. Do you have any ideas?

Office - Field Records I am trying to put an implement switch in one of our transplanters and wondering if I have to set the job up a certain way. I chose the "Enable Implement Switch" and the IFB is activated, but when I push Go it automatically logs no matter if my planter units are activated or not. Do you have any ideas.

Field - GPS Mapping, Scouting, Soil Sampling & VRA Yes, I am picking it off the chart and pushing okay and then it shows up on the filter page, but it is still grayed out. I push okay and it almost seems to do the sort and then resort again with the input not checked.

Office - Field Records I am trying to edit the jobs I see on the jobs tab by the input, but everytime I put and input in and click okay the check mark disapears from the input tab and it just sorts for the other tabs I have checked. Do you have any ideas of what is going on.

Office - Field Records I am trying to sell some wheat I have in storage and when I enter it, everything looks correct until I hit Record and then it tells me the "Transaction doesn't balance". Can you give me any ideas on what could be wrong.

Office - Accounting I am trying to import planter passes just as a background layer to a field and make a variety map of each field. I see when I stop with site mate it shows how many feet I went and the area covered, but when I bring that file into the desktop I can't find that information. Is there any way to get that information imported as well?

I had update the file off the Farm Works website and now when I try to take the file off the CD I get an error message that there has been a sharing violation and that the file may still be in use and can't be copied. What I do right now is whenever I go to use it, I go in and change the Baud Rate and then change that back and that seems to work. However, I would like to give this h

Field - GPS Mapping, Scouting, Soil Sampling & VRA I have used three different ones, I have a CF Holux GPS, a Raven Invicta, and Auto Farm RTK system. All three act the same way. It doesn't matter if I hook it up through COM 1 or COM 7. It won't find the GPS back after it has been working and the IPAQ gets shut off. I know it won't find GPS if I switch types of GPS but it should find it when I have the same GPS plugged in.

Field - GPS Mapping, Scouting, Soil Sampling & VRA I have an H2200 Pocket PC with Trac Mate and Site Mate on it. It will not automatically connect to GPS. I can find it fine and it works once we find it. Once I have GPS it works fine, but if I shut off the IPAQ, I have to go back in and find GPS again. Do you have any ideas?

Office - Field Records I am running a Viper Pro and did some spraying with it. I let the viper name the job and set it up as I normally would. On this day I sprayed a bunch of different fields with the same chemical. Now when I try to read these jobs they all come up together and I am not able to assign a field with each separate job. When I pick a field it assigns it to all the jobs.

Office - Field Records They are not showing up in the TMSM folder and if I try to export them, it still tells me the file already exists. I do get an error message every time I sync, but then it always says it was successful syncing. The error is something about a number being less that what it should be.

For some reason, even though I have picked a different variety to plant for each of the planned jobs, they just seem to overwrite the others, so only one shows up. I have tried syncing each one seperately and that didn't make any difference. I also tried exporting them and the first one went okay, but the next one told me that there was already a job in the folder with the same nam

Field - GPS Mapping, Scouting, Soil Sampling & VRA I am trying to set up jobs for a field that we are going to plant. We have four different varieties that are going to get planted in the field and I set up a seperate job for each one. I set them up as planned jobs and they synced them with Trac Mate to my Ipaq. Only one of the jobs seem to be syncing. Do you have any ideas how to make all the jobs sync.
