My way of doing this is to select your yield map to display.
Select the green pencil edit layer tool, zoom into your field and select the yield points in the field by using whatever pointer tool you need to use select just the field points. Use ether the polygon or rectangle pointer tool, whichever is best to basically outline the field boundary.
All of the selected points will turn black - the ones you want to keep. Right click on these and then select invert selection. This will select everything outside of this drawn selection, then right click on one of these flyaway points( which should be black) and select delete.
Save and close if acceptable.
