Using the same legend settings for multiple layers

Search Discussion Boards
Lance,
When you create a new legend, it's settings can be shared between layers if you do the following:

1. In the Edit Legend box select Equal Units from the Fill menu.
2. In the Equal Units box enter a name for the legend (such as 97 Bean Yields) then enter the information that you want to use for the legend.
3. Click on the OK button and the legend will be created for you based on the settings you entered.
4. Next select Smooth Colors from the Fill menu.
5. Enter a description for the Color Scheme (such as 97 Bean Yield Colors).
6. Select the color scheme that you want to use.
7. Click on the OK button and the legend will use the selected color scheme.
8. When you work with a different layer simply select Equal Units from the Fill box and select the appropriate Current Range (such as 97 Bean Yields) then select Smooth Colors from the Fill menu and select the Color Scheme and the legend will be created exactly the same as it was before.

I hope this helps!
