Farm Site Mobile Imports

Rich,
Here's how to log the corners of a field with Mobile and import it as a boundary:

1. Choose the Boundary option from the Log menu.
2. Select the Manual option from the Log menu.
3. You can now log the corners of the field in the same manner as when logging points.

When you do this, you should be able to import the boundary.

For the time being, if you want your current files to import, open the file up in Notepad and change to lines:

Change "START POINTS" to "START BOUNDARY"

Change "STOP POINTS" to "STOP BOUNDARY"

You will then be able to successfully import the file as a Farm Site Mobile file.

The key with the latest version of Mobile is that anything that you want imported as a boundary needs to use the Boundary option. You can then simply change the method for logging to indicate whether you are logging "Automatic" (when driving the boundary) or "Manual" (when only logging the corners).

The Log Points option should only be used for points such as soil samples.

I hope this helps!
