I just battled my way through this issue with some very friendly Apple back office people. This is what we ended up doing.

Used boot leg to partition the hard drives and down load mass of drivers
Added Windows 8

U can run windows by pressing the options key during start up and selecting the windows partition. There is some problem if u try and just run a parallel. Apple was tight lipped about that.


After that is all up and running I have been told u can buy a copy of parallels and have it pull from the partition. This gives u the convenience of toggling between Mac and PC but will interfere with performance at high levels.
