We are using a handheld Greenseeker this summer to evaluate various test plots, and hope to obtain some great data from it. Luckily (or maybe smartly), we embedded several relatively small test plots into our grower's vra nitrogen plans ranging from 120# - 200# of applied N. We are taking periodic readings of NDVI values from each of these rate zones (plots are randomized and replicated) and then will use them later to see if they correlate to yield from the yield monitor. I know this does not help us during this growing season, but it should be valuable information for future years. We only wish that the Greenseeker would store readings internally for later download, or link into a Juno/Nomad/Yuma for data recording on the go.
