New computer, How to reinstall Farmworks

Search Discussion Boards
In your case, a reinstall would require one set of Trac disks (any version), one set of Fund$ disks (any version), one set of Stock disks (any version) and the latest set of Site disks (version 5.20).

If you had Site Combo, you would need to keep the latest Site Combo disks (but you wouldn't have any Trac or Site disks.)

Basically, the requirement is that you need to install things in the following order, skipping anything you don't have:

Site Combo

Whenever any of the installation programs detects an earlier version of a program earlier in the list, it will update that program as well, so you just need to make sure you have the latest version of whatever is last on the list, ignoring the modules you don't have, and you need to keep some version of each of the other programs so that the last installation can find them and update them.

That's why when you order a software upgrade, you only get one set of disks, rather than a set of disks for each product you own. This is an attempt to keep your stack of old disks smaller. (If you really want the latest version of everything, you can ask when you order the update and we'll include disks for all of the programs for an additional $10.) In the coming months, we will be examining other strategies, such as CDs, to help reduce the number of updates and the number of disks required.
