I have an HTC Touch Pro (not 2) and there is an application on the phone that allows an external GPS to input into the smartphone for other applications to use. I never used it before, but go to Setting > System Tab > External GPS. I have never done it before, but you could find a very cheap gps receiver that has WAAS differential that should be able to connect to the phone and do what you want within 5 meter accuracy.
