Re: compact flash gps card in laptop?

Jeff,
I apologize but we don't have much experience with using the Compact Flash GPS receivers with laptops (all of our experience has been with Pocket PCs). However, here are a few things to watch:

1. With regards to the CF to PC adapter, if you're using a Farm Works CF GPS (or a Transplant CF GPS) make sure that it supports "Type II Compact Flash Cards". The Farm Works/Transplant CF GPS is built on a Type II CF card and if you use it with an adapter that supports Type I, it won't work (it probably won't fit into the slot).

2. With regards to drivers, if the GPS is a Farm Works or Transplant GPS you can download drivers from the Transplant website. You'll see drivers on this webpage for Windows 98/ME and Windows XP/2000.

Let me know if this helps.
