We have an employee who sometimes wants a payroll advance. I write the check as if it is a payment and when I do his paycheck I take some of the money out (payment plan) under a deduction. I don't think this is the correct way as he isn't getting any social security/Medicare taken out of the advance money. How should this be entered? He doesn't have any withholding taken out so that isn't a problem. I appreciate any input on this. Thanks.
