We have a payroll check from 2015 that was written and mailed to an employees home. The check has not ever been cashed. I have decided now to void the check and get it off my books. I went into the payroll transactions and it doesn't list anything prior to 2017. I realize the reason why, but I need to get that reduction in my checking account back into my balance.
Will I have to make an adjusting entry to offset that info?
