Re: Miss. state income tax

Yes there is a way, but not automatically. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Go to your State website to locate your correct State Tax Table format.
2. From within the Accounting menu, select Payroll - Tax Tables and click on State
3. Place dot by correct Method, found from step 1.
4. If Graduated Rate, you must enter both the Single and Married Tax tables. They may or may not be the same, depending upon State.
5. If Flat Rate is selected simply enter the States Flat rate tax percent.
6. Mississippi is not one of the States that has a special State Specific so you would not select this option.

Most states will use either the Graduated or Flat.

7. Click OK once the tables or rates have been added.

Now when you go to the Pay Calculation and enter the hours/wage rate and click the Calculate Pay button, it will try and figure the state tax rate based upon what was setup above.
