Sorry for the confusion on my part. On May 1 a payment for pasture was due. I paid the entire bill. My business partner (vendor) and I were to split the pasture 50:50, so I put her half of the pasture bill in accounts receivable. As it turned out she only put 1/4 the number of cows on the pasture so the split is actually 75:25. I need to credit the accounts receivable the 25% she actually does not owe. Maybe it's more trouble than it is worth. I suppose I can go back and void the accounts receivable transaction and enter the correct amount?
