If you have an unwanted Payable still showing in the Acct. pay reminder when opening the program, the payable needs to be voided. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Go to Accounting-General Ledger-Accrual Reports/Trial Balance.
2. Click on the Yellow Folder to the left of Accounts Payable in the Liability section.
3. Click on the Magnifying Glass button for the correct Vendor that has the unwanted payable.
4. Click on the Magnifying glass button for the unwanted Transaction.
5. Click on the Void Menu and select Void Transaction. Answer Yes you wish to void. Click Done at each screen.

If it will not allow you to void the payable, if a portion was paid or in a year that has been closed, then you need to follow these steps:

1. Go in to Payments & Purchases and select Record Payments/Purchases.
2. Select the Vendor that has the unwatned payable.
3. Enter a description such as: Canceling Payable balance.Enter desired date.
4. Select your Payable button and choose this payable. Click on the Make Payment button.
5. Click OK.
6. The Payable Paid should now show in you Items Purchased.
7. Make a second entry to Items Purchased. If this payable was for supply purchases, click on the Inventory Supply button. Select the same supply and enter a negative for the same qty. and total cost. click OK. Repeat for each supply name on original payable entry. If this payable is posting an an expense account, click on the Other Expense and Payments button. Enter a Negative dollar amount matching from original payable. Highlight the same expense account (allocation may also need correcting). Repeat for each expense account from original entry.
8. Total Purchases wll show a balance of zero.
9. Record and done.

Hope this helps!
