Before you can fix a bank balance, you need to find out why it is off. You can find this out by printing a Check Register and matching it to your bank statement or a hand checkbook (if you have one).

If the balance is off because an incorrect beginning balance was entered you can go back to Initial Setup and change the balance.

If the balance is off because a check or deposit was recorded for a wrong amount, then void the check or deposit and re-enter it for the correct amount.

If the balance is off because you are missing an adjustment that the bank made (such as service charges or interest earned) go to the Bank Adjustments area (under the Cash Maintenance menu) and enter the appropriate adjustment.

The Bank adjustment area is where you can enter any adjustments to you bank account. HOWEVER, you will need to put this adjustment off to an account. If you are off by a small amount you may want to make the adjustment here just so the account is correct. However, if you do this, make a note of the account that you use and be sure to tell your accountant or tax preparer what you did.

I hope this helps!
