Dave,
I set up a generic ascii text printer on my system (W95) and directed it's output to a disk file (*.prn). When I printed my income statement to the screen, I selected File|Printer Setup and marked my generic printer as the specific printer I wanted to use. I then printed the report and answered the question for a file name with something appropriate. Then I started my Excel 7 and opened the file I had printed to disk. I accepted all the default answers during the load process and all I had to do was reset my column widths within Excel. I was also able to load the file into NotePad so you should not have any problems with this technique. Same concept will work under W3.1
