An easy way to allocate your overhead, miscellaneous expenses would be to set up an airplane icon. The airplane's description would be overhead. Its action would be allocate and its charge unit would be acres. After setting up this icon, farm each field once per year. Now as you incur expenses such as overhead, bolts, misc., etc. charge them to the airplane and they will in turn be allocated to the fields. On your enterprise statement on each field you will have an overhead charge by the acre. Later to see the detail of these acreage charges print an enterprise statement of the airplane. This is a neat way to take care of those misc. items and get their cost to the fields.
