This is not possible directly on an Drainage Planned layer. Lines with bearings can only be set up on the guidance line layer. Once set up on the Guidance Layer the line can then be copied to the Drainage Planned Layer. The steps to complete this are:

Locate the Guidance Lines Layer indented under the field in the management tree (barn tab) on the left. If this layer does not exist, right click on the field name and choose add layer - guidance layer. Right click on the Guidance Layer and choose edit. Select the line drawing tool, and from the drop down arrow to the right of that button select the A+ option. Click on the map where the line is to start and a box will appear allowing for a bearing or direction to be entered. Click OK. The line should appear on the map. Save and Close the layer.

Next right click on the line just created and choose copy. Remove the Guidance Layer from the display. Right click on the drainage planned layer and choose edit. Right click on map area and choose paste addition. The line can then be edited for length and the attributes on the left side of the screen can be updated to meet the needed parameters. Save and Close when finished.

I hope this helps.
