Switching so All Animals have IDs

Search Discussion Boards
Randy,
As long as you have no groups that haven't been ID'd, Farm Stock should let you switch the option. Try the following:

1. Go to the Stats tab and go to Inventory.
2. Select "Show Unidentified Only" from the "Query" menu.
3. Select <All Animals> from the Animal ID drop-down list.
4. You should now see all groups that haven't been identified.
5. Either go back and delete the births for these groups, or click on the groups in the Inventory tab and click on the "Identify" button to identify the animals.
6. When you are finished there should be no unidentified groups listed in the Inventory Tab.
7. Select "Animal Types" from the "Add/Edit" menu.
8. Select your animal type and turn on the option for "All animals have ID numbers or names". Click Record then Done.

The program will now ask you to assign IDs each time you record a birth.

I hope this helps!
