Wilford,
Do you have free disk space on the computer that your restoring to? You shouldn't need more than a couple meg but not having enough space could cause this error message.

If that's not the problem then try this:
1. Go into Explorer and find the c:farmprojdata directory.
2. Look at the subdirectories under the data directory. You should only have one directory with a name such as "00000001.prj". If you have a directory that has a name other than this, right-click on it and rename it to "00000001.prj".
3. Go into Farm Stock again and try restoring the backup again.

If this doesn't work, try going into Farm Stock and go to the "Add New Animal Type" box (select "Animal Types" from the "Add/Edit" menu) and delete all of your current animal types. Then try restoring the backup again.

As one last suggestion, try making a new backup on a different disk and try restoring to the other machine. If you happened to have a corrupted file on the disk or a bad disk, this would solve the problem.

I hope this helps! Please let us know what you find out.
