Some older models of yield monitors do not allow the user to input information about the GPS antenna position relative to the header or platform. Consequently, that adjustment must be done during the import and processing of the yield data in the mapping program.
With newer yield monitor models that do allow for that, it is not uncommon for growers to ignore the task of setting the GPS offset information or their input is incorrect. Maybe they should not ignore that step, but "stuff" happens anyway.
Adding that option to FW would provide users with a valuable tool for "cleaning up" their yield datasets, especially in this day and age of "Big Data" that relies on the spatial quality and accuracy of yield datasets.
