OK, I understand now. No, the Nomad has no problems with getting a signal in the cab. As long as the vehicle itself is in an open area it should be OK. I have previously tested mapping with it sitting on my car seat and it has worked without any problems.

I asked about the serial ports because I know that there was a previous Topcon display some years ago that operated on Windows XP, and you could load the software to it and use the serial ports that were on it. I was not sure if the GX-45 would have similar possibilities. If it doesn't run on a version of Windows you cannot run our software on it. You can output the NMEA string from any receiver/display that allows it, and connect to a device running our sofware that also has a serial port.

Mobile will allow you to map, log sample data, control VRA, and create coverage/application maps. If you want to create the VRA maps yourself, or analyse the sample information, you would then need Mapping.
