When you are looking at this map, what layers do you see in the "Displayed Layers" box?
Are you seeing a feature layer = page icon with lines on it, as well as a Boundary Layer?

This is what I saw in 750 data and if you can right click on the area in question with the feature area layer on top in the Displayed layer box, Copy, right click on the field in the client, farm, field tree on the left, edit boundary, which brings the boundary layer on top in the displayed layers box, right click on same area on map, select paste addition, Save. Then select this area, it should cross hatch and the acres will be in the lower right hand corner. If this works then Save and Close. If not, then Cancel.

My observations,
