VR operation - turning off logging automatically without implement switch

Have been using Site mate to VR dry fertilize on an air cart and another unit to VR nH3. Site Mate in both cases is driving a Raven 450 and is installed on a Windows 95 laptop. When the boom switch is off data continues to be collected unless the "stop" button is manually clecked on. I know an implement switch is now available but our AL PF3000 stops logging automatically when we shut off the boom switch. I am not sure if the PF3000 just senses no product being applied from the data it recieves through the RS232 or if the Raven reports boom switch information in the data string. Do I have something set incorrectly in Site Mate or does it just not have this feature like the PF3000? It seems Site Mate ought to be able to figure out when no product is being applied if the PF3000 can.
