Site Mate uses 1200 baud, 8 data bits, 2 stop bits, and no parity when communicating with a Raven 'rev J'. Site Mate automatically switches to 1 stop bit when using the other revisions letters.

To run the gps simulation with a VRA map:

1) Open Site Mate
2) Use the RX button to load the VRA map
3) Now that there is a map on the screen you may start the simulation from the File-GPS Settings menu.

The simulation will move in a swathing pattern that covers the bounding rectangle of the map on the screen. You may want to have the speed in the simulation set faster that you would actually go so that you can quickly get to more areas of the field.

The comm port that Site Mate is using to receive GPS is listing in the GPS configuration box, and the comm port for the VRA control is in the VRA setup for that controller. The actual port these devices are plugged into must match these settings. It may be difficult to know which port is which when you look at the ports on your computer. You should be able to go to the Data tab to see if any data is coming in from the GPS receiver. If not try switching the cables.
