I am trying to set up a system so that I can send GPS data to sitemate from a receiver which is already otherwise occupied. It is set to output in RS232 protocol, and I understand that Sitemate wants NEMA 0183. Is there any way to create compatibility between these two protocols? I do not think changing the other system is an option, and the GPS card in question has two COM ports, one of which is receiving differential data and the other outputing the RS 232. I believe the differential port is also set to RS232, however I have not positively verified that yet.

I have determined that both protocols are using the same pins on the card for data output. Is the data on the two output wires the same in both protocols? Does Sitemate need any other wires connected to work?

Thank you

mark...about half way over my head as usual:)
