Can you explain to me exactly how we can use sitemate as a mapping program while its connected to the Outback Guidance System?
The Outback has a serial port for the laptop or Handheld PC device to receive or give information from the Outback System? The Outback System is a light bar with a GPS antenna attached.
Midtech has a light bar with a mapping program included. The cost of the Outback with Farmworks purchase and CE device is still cheaper than Midtech.
Someone interested in purchasing one or the other just needs a mapping program to be able find the acres in the field to be able to calculate how much mix to make in the field. Can't you do that with Farm Site Basic? Wouldn't they just map the field and look at the properties for acres? They could also keep a path of where they have been.
I guess I am just figuring out how it all works together.
We can also use the variable rate program throught the Outback also. ?
It has been so wet here we haven't been able to go try any of it on our own.
Is it possible to simulate any thing but straight lines in SiteMate basic. I know you can turn on the simulation to keep the beeping notice from coming on. But how can you simulate sitemate drawing a field for someone to view?
Any suggestions? Thanks. Becky.
