News Office Field Order Support Contact Us

There are a number of us about to start using a similar unit from Raytheon. It is competitive with the DGPS-53 except that it uses WAAS instead of USCG differential. It's also about $30 cheaper. Garmins is supposed to have a WAAS unit availible in March. The Raystar 120 we have ordered was allegidly availible Dec 2000 but we were told two more weeks this afternoon.

I'm not much real help in that we have not actually used them, but I guess I can offer the comfort that you won't be the only one trying it. I see no reason they won't work as they are comparable to the 1hz units AgLeader and everyone else was using before lightbars became an issue.

The cost is certainly a lot more bearable.
