The revision numbers that Site Mate lists for the two Raven protocols is different for each for the Raven models. If the Rev J. is changing the rate on your model of controller then that is the one to select in Site Mate.
When logging without control Site Mate will export the data as a points shape file. This type of file may be imported and a boundary traced around the points.
The best way to get an accurate boundary is to use the scouting features of Site Mate. Open a new log file and select 'boundary' on the main Site Mate screen. Use the offset feature if the GPS receiver cannot travel directly over the boundary. Select 'Go' and start recording the boundary. When you are finished select 'Stop' and the boundary may be exported.
