Usually I wait until I know what crop will be planted and then edit the unassigned crops. Since a variety of crops could follow each crop, sometimes I'm uncertain which crop will be planted. For example, corn can follow sugar beets, soybeans or even wheat. Wheat or corn would follow soybeans and so on. By having the jobs in the unassigned crops, I know for sure what jobs need to be edited. I tried it the way you have suggested once before, but I found out that I would miss reassigning jobs when the cropping plan changed.

Thanks,
