I can use the local schools scanner to scan maps. They have a packard bell scanner and windows 95 program. the scanner software is by packard bell. Can you please tell me what I
am doing wrong. I installed the school's program for the scanner onto a floppy
disk. Scanned the object and tried to save as a tiff file on my floppy disk.
the error message comes back can not read file. I could not save the information through the word
processor because they have wordperfect and I have MSWorks.
Am I doing this correctly.
Is there a way to scan a document through DOS.
Do I need to import the information into a word processor first? Can I copy my farm
works program onto a floppy disk and take this with me and scan directly from
the scanner right into the program then come back to my computer and transfer the
information over?

Please help ASAP! I need to get these ASCS maps into the system to calibrate.
