Willard,
Normally the error message that you are referring to means that some of the crop has either been sold or adjusted down. Thus if you were to remove the harvest, you would be removing more than you harvested, leaving you with a negative balance.

If you have sold some of the crop, void the sales, then you can remove the farming action.

If you have adjusted the crop down then go to the Adjust Harvested Crops area (under the Inventory Maintenance area) and adjust the crop back up. When doing this be sure to select the "Specified Fields" option and apply the adjustment to the proper fields. If you are unsure how much each field has been adjusted by, take a look at the notations for the field versus the enterprise statement. The notations will always reflect the quantity that was entered when the harvest was recorded and the enterprise reflects the "adjusted" quantity (adjustments are from either selling more than you harvested or making adjustments in the Adjust Harvested Crops area).

With regards to making the program more forgiving, we'll continue to add features such as the Account Register to make it easier for you to enter and change information.

I hope this helps!
