To draw a circle in Farm Trac you simply click where you want to start the circle and then drag the circle to the desired size.

The program does offer a flexible "grid" that you can set up. The size of this grid can be changed as desired and all drawing can be forced to "snap" to a grid if desired. With this you could set the grid size to .25 mile (for example) and then make a circle start and end within the grid.

You can then cut the field into different sizes for the different crops.

If you plant a field differently the next year, you can merge all of the pieces together then right-click and split the field differently.

Also, if you're drawing isn't perfect, you can override the calculated acreage of each section of the circle. This won't change your drawing but all records and reports will be based on this size.
