Should you decide to run Farm Works (or any other "single-user" software) on a network be aware of what will probably happen if two people access the data at the same time. [and Murphy guarantees that will happen]. At best, one user will get a message such as "file sharing error" or "file not available" and his program will probably crash or lock his system. At worst, after the error message has been displayed the data files involved will be scrambled beyond recovery and all work since the last backup is gone. I recommend you have your network administrator implement a lock-out routine that is accessed prior to calling the program. This routine will prevent more than one user in the program at a time. My experience has been that any "human" system to be sure only one user is on at a time will fail, probably at the end of a very busy year and the tax returns are almost late.
Good Luck!!
