So if you have a farm called "Konen Farm" with 25 fields, the program will put the first 20 fields under "Konen Farm". It will then create another Konen Farm (I think the name will be "Konen Farm - 2" ) and will put the remaining 5 fields under that.

With regards to Supplies, the program should give a message as follows:

WARNING: The following items were only partially exported. Please change your
export options and select fewer items to be written.

Items:
Supplies - Limit 20

If you see this message, you should Cancel out and go back to Write Job Data and use the Resource List button to limit the supplies being sent out. You can do this by category (such as just selecting Fertilizers if that's what you will doing).

Within each Client you have a limit of 20 Farms. Within each Farm you have a limit of 20 Fields. So to meet this requirement you may need to setup more Farms and move certain fields into those Farms. The message you receive within Farm Works exceeding those limits, is not a problem within our Software, it is stating that you have exceeded EZ Guide 250 or 500 limitation.

This is the same limitation on Supplies. 20 Supplies per Supply Type, etc..

Hope this makes sense.

Where as the Get Field from USB option is only going to load in the Field Names if writing out in a configuration file is not an option. If you are writing out of Farm Works you need to use the Load Configuration Option.

When Reading the completed event information back into Farm Works you are given the opportunity to link those items if one does not quite match.
Re: Transfering Maps to Ez guide 250

Nicole,

Sorry for hammering on this, but I think it needs to be in order to cause less confusion down the road. Please bear with me on these observations.

When i do "write job" to the USB, in order to get my client/farm/field lists imported into the 250, the 250 should be able to Get Fields from USB in order to maintain the list heirarchy.

By importing the cfg file, the client/farm/field list needs to be re-associated within the 250. True, it is a simple matter of going through each step in order to associate each client/farm/field by selecting them one at a time within the 250. But defeats the purpose of having the heirarchy set up to begin with, within FW. Remember this for later.

In order for the "Get Fields from USB" option to work, one has to go thru the client/farm/field list within the AgGPS folder and make sure there are no commas, apostraphies, etc within the names in order for the 250 to recognize the list. Then it will be a task to "link" these once brought back into FW.

Now in FW, when one sets up a client, say "first name" Mitch, "last name" Konen, it shows up in the list as Konen, Mitch. This is the cause for error in the "write job" > "Get Fields from USB".
True, the client "Konen, Mitch" will transfer via the cfg file to the USB and the 250, and show up in the pick list of clients, but the Get Fields from USB will not work.

Now comes the big problem; when trying to transfer the jobs from the 250 back into FW via the USB, anything that has these commas, apostaphies, etc in the names will not! It has been done by having to go thru the AgGPS folder and edit the jobs to remove these unwanted puntuations, then linking. But it is a chore and not always full proof.

So making sure one does not have any puntuation marks within the names on your tree list within FW is the key.

How can this be addressed when it comes to clients?
EDIT: Display Full Name as opposed to Sorted Name!!

Thanks for your time,
