I record feed usage into my stockmate, then I sync with stock. the feed usage shows up on feed report but why doesn't it subtract the feed from my supply inverntory. Also why can't you see history of feed used on mate after it syncs. I am assuming that you have Funds due to the fact you are trying to trace back to inventory.

The proper procedure for these transactions is to make the feeding transaction in "Funds", to the group in question from the Input tree tab. Upon doing this feeding in Funds, inventory is removed in Funds and when you record the transaction the program will ask you if you want to record the transaction in "Stock" in which you will want to say yes.

Stock is a stand alone program with lots of these capabilities. But when Funds is also available and installed as an integrated part of the program, some of these capabilities are primarily functions of Funds, such as feeding, weighing, locations, etc.
True, you can still feed in Stock, but due to no link between Stock and Funds for this because the feeding is now a primary function of Funds, the feeding is meant to be performed in Funds, with a link to Stock in order to maintain the transaction record for the selected animals.

Some of these functions are only a one-way transaction from Funds to Stock. They are not a two-way transaction.
A good way to view these types of transactions is by right clicking on a "Group" of Animals in the Input tab within Funds. You will see that Birth, Death, Feed, Transfer, are primary transaction options available. These must be done in Funds first and will sync with Stock upon completion. But they will not sync with Funds when they are performed in Stock.

So if you feed them in Stock, you will also have to feed them in Funds and say "No" to the Stock sync window.

Uploading a backup file

Here are the steps to follow for sending your project backup file to us:

1. Make a new backup file called (your name) date (no slashes).

2. Click onto the link below and follow these instructions;

3. Click on the Words "Upload Here".

4. When the small upload box appears click on the button called Browse.

5. Change the Look In box to where you saved the backup file from step 1.

6. Highlight the backup file name and click Open.

7. When you have returned back to the previous screen, click on the button called Upload below the file name box.

8. You will see the process bar and will receive a message when upload is complete.

9. Send me an email to tell me that your backup file is on our web site, the name of the backup file along with the explanation of the problem within the project. (Kathy@farmworks.com)

Even with out using mate, I enter feed and it does not subtract it from inventory.
I go under Feed click + sign, pick animal / group (Have no individual animals they are all groups) then I pick one of the supplies listed like corn and enter 5 ibs and click Ok then exit out of stock and check inventory, the supply that I pick does not change in value.
Am I doing something wrong???

Sorry, I had someone testing and did not post back. We cannot duplicate the problem. We Synchronised Stock to StockMate. Recording a feeding and Synchronize back to Stock. If does not ask if you want to record the feeding in Funds, it simply removes those feed Supplies from the Inventory report and from the Asset supplies account in the Trial Balance automatically.

We are using FW Office vs. 2012.03.517
Stock Mobile vs. 2010.0

Also it is not a problem with mate because I entered feed into the desktop livestock from supplies and it still hasn't taken any supplys from inventory, Could you please fix this, I can't get a accurate inventory report until the feed supplies get transfered to livestock......
